The story
A silent deck. A signal the pirates missed.
Three flagless ships appear ahead of the family sky trader, sounding a false distress call at the mouth of a cloud canyon. A boarding net makes the trap clear. Your pet answers with a new power: a call that pushes air hard enough to move a sail. Captain Vey has an answer of his own, a bell that swallows both sound and force. With the fleet running out of room, the hero must get a warning to Mara, the macaw lookout, and find a position where the silenced power can work again. Getting the family fleet clear will take a warning the bell cannot swallow. Below the deck, a protected gallery lies outside its reach.

What sort of pirate action is in the comic?
A false distress call leads to a boarding-net ambush and a contest of sound, signals and ship handling. The captain has two empty decoy ships. The action comes from a clever escape above the clouds, without guns or sword fights.
Can a cat have the thunderous voice?
Yes. A cat’s call can have just as much power as a dog’s in this fantasy adventure. Any dog or cat can star, illustrated just as they are, including pets with missing limbs.
Does the story settle down before the end?
Yes. The threats and the hero’s final watch are finished before the sleeping scene. Every ship reaches harbor, and the pet rests on familiar folded sailcloth. The middle remains a lively action story for ages 6–9.

What makes a good photo?
One pet, facing the camera, in good light. Daylight near a window is best. The face, colors and markings should be sharp. Skip heavy shadows, busy backgrounds and photos with two pets. A phone photo is fine.
Is the art made with AI?
Yes. We make the pictures with AI from the photo you send. They are not painted by hand. A real person on our team checks every book before it prints.
What happens to my photo?
We keep it, with what you typed and the art we made. That way we can reprint your book if something goes wrong, and make your next book without a new photo. To have it deleted, email support@illustratedyou.com, or ask us to close your account. No public gallery. No ads without asking you first. We don’t train AI on your photos, and we set up the AI services we use so they don’t train their general AI models on them either.
