The story
One little bump. One patient friend. A very useful set of wheels.
Your pet has picked a comfortable spot under an apple tree and found a red cart to carry a favorite blue cushion there. The empty cart rolls easily. Loaded, it stops: first a dangling cushion corner catches a wheel, then the wheels meet the low brick edge of a garden path. A visiting tortoise notices details your enthusiastic pet has missed. Instead of trying a running push, the hero lends the waiting friend the cushion and studies the problem with the cart empty. A broad board already lying across the edging offers a gentler route, but aiming both wheels onto it takes care and another pair of eyes. The first successful crossing has one comic omission: the cushion is still behind. Together the two friends load it properly, approach slowly, and make the small delivery that began the morning. The chosen place beneath the tree is finally ready, and sharing it makes the effort worthwhile.
Who it’s for: For children aged 2–6 who like wheels, loading things and working out why they stop. A birthday or everyday gift with a simple garden cart and a patient friendship at its center.
Questions
Is this a truck or construction-machine book?
It is a small-cart story: four wheels, one soft cushion, a low garden edge and a broad shallow board. There are no trucks, engines or building machines. The interest is watching the pet work out how a wheel gets past a bump.
Does anyone ride down a hill or get hurt?
No animal rides in the cart. The route is level except for a tiny garden edge, the board is broad and almost flat, and the cart stays slow. The setbacks are a cushion touching a wheel and a crooked approach, with no injury or frightening accident.
Can a cat or a donkey do the pushing in this story?
Yes, the light cart and soft cushion are scaled for the hero and the movement uses a natural muzzle, shoulder, paw or beak. The story needs a pet that can move freely on dry ground and gently nudge light objects; it cannot suit a fully aquatic animal or a pet unable to leave its enclosure.
Is the tortoise another pet from my photos?
No. The olive tortoise is one fictional companion, with a fixed shell pattern throughout the story. Your animal is the personalized hero who makes the choices, tests the route and shares the cushion at the end.
What do I get for $69.99?
A 40-page 8.5-inch square hardcover, printed just for you. Your pet is the star of every picture, and their name is on the cover. A page at the front has a note in your own words. A real person checks the book before it prints. Shipping in the U.S. is free. If it arrives damaged, we send a new one for free.
Can I see more than the cover first?
Yes, one page. After the cover, you can see one page from inside the book with your pet in it, free. We paint the rest after you order. A real person checks every picture against your photo before it prints.
What makes a good photo?
One pet, facing the camera, in good light. Daylight near a window is best. The face, colors and markings should be sharp. Skip heavy shadows, busy backgrounds and photos with two pets. A phone photo is fine.
Is the art made with AI?
Yes. We make the pictures with AI from the photo you send. They are not painted by hand. A real person on our team checks every book before it prints.
What happens to my photo?
We keep it, with what you typed and the art we made. That way we can reprint your book if something goes wrong, and make your next book without a new photo. To have it deleted, email support@illustratedyou.com, or ask us to close your account. No public gallery. No ads without asking you first. We don’t train AI on your photos, and we set up the AI services we use so they don’t train their general AI models on them either.
