Their photo. Their cover.

A customer sent us this photo of Oliver. We made this cover from it.

Oliver, a Boston terrier with a white blaze down his face and a blue collar, lying on a rug and looking up at the camera — the photo his owner sent.
Photo
Goodnight, Oliver: the same Boston terrier painted lying on his side in a plush bed beneath the title lettering, ears up, dark eyes to the reader and a happy open smile — the same white blaze, the same blue collar — one paw over a teddy with a bow in a lamplit bedroom.
Cover

“OMG, it’s so cute! It captures Oliver’s little snaggle tooth perfectly — it looks exactly like him.”

Amanda G., Escalon, CA, Oliver’s owner

A real person checks every picture against your photo before it prints. If a picture looks off, we paint it again.

The likeness guarantee. If the book that arrives still is not them, we repaint it or refund you.

The story

All the familiar things. One very different place.

The family has moved together, and your pet is ready to inspect the new house. The familiar bowl makes an unexpected noise. The window looks onto a tree instead of a wall. Most importantly, the perfect place for an afternoon nap has not been unpacked. Your pet sets about fixing that with a favorite old rug, only to discover that the rug has a more useful job cushioning a rattling box. Giving up the first comfortable spot leads to a small chain of discoveries: the pet retrieves a familiar cushion from behind an empty carton, and moving that box uncovers a new strip of sunlight. With the kitchen nearby and the doorway clear, the place begins to work. This warm, practical comedy keeps the same loved pet and family together throughout. It is about a changed address, familiar routines and the satisfying moment a new room starts to feel like yours.

Who it’s for: For ages two to six and families moving house together, especially a child who likes to imagine their pet supervising every box.

Questions

Is this about adopting a new animal?

No. The pet is already part of a familiar, loving household. The family changes its home together, and the story focuses on finding familiar comforts in different rooms.

Does the story explain why the family moves?

It leaves the reason open, so the book can fit many ordinary moves. There is no invented family crisis, separation or account of what happened before moving day.

Does the pet do anything risky around the boxes?

The pet shifts light empty cartons and soft furnishings at floor level. There is no heavy lifting, climbing a box tower, staircase tumble or trip into the street.

What do I get for $69.99?

A 40-page 8.5-inch square hardcover, printed just for you. Your pet is the star of every picture, and their name is on the cover. A page at the front has a note in your own words. A real person checks the book before it prints. Shipping in the U.S. is free. If it arrives damaged, we send a new one for free.

Can I see more than the cover first?

Yes, one page. After the cover, you can see one page from inside the book with your pet in it, free. We paint the rest after you order. A real person checks every picture against your photo before it prints.

What makes a good photo?

One pet, facing the camera, in good light. Daylight near a window is best. The face, colors and markings should be sharp. Skip heavy shadows, busy backgrounds and photos with two pets. A phone photo is fine.

Is the art made with AI?

Yes. We make the pictures with AI from the photo you send. They are not painted by hand. A real person on our team checks every book before it prints.

What happens to my photo?

We keep it, with what you typed and the art we made. That way we can reprint your book if something goes wrong, and make your next book without a new photo. To have it deleted, email support@illustratedyou.com, or ask us to close your account. No public gallery. No ads without asking you first. We don’t train AI on your photos, and we set up the AI services we use so they don’t train their general AI models on them either.
